Zahra Shahbazi was fatally shot by her husband after he sold her jewellery to buy drugs.

Zahra was a mother to a 14-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter and worked at Ilam University.

It was reported that her teenage son was forced to watch. Her husband fled the scene and remains at large.
