Claire Chick was killed by her estranged husband. She was found injured in the road and later died in hospital.

An inquest later heard that she suffered “stab wounds to her chest and abdomen”

Claire was born in Stockton-on-Tees and worked as a lecturer at the University of Plymouth and a as a Nurse. She leaves behind 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

“She was amazing, the life and soul of the party. She was bubbly and fun, kind and compassionate. The word used to describe her by everyone was an angel. If angels walk the earth, that would be Claire.”
