Dafne was stabbed and killed at her home.

She pleaded for help on the phone with a 911 dispatcher while hiding in a room as her ex-boyfriend was breaking down the door.

Dafne was originally from Mexico and worked as a hairstylist.

“Dafne was the kind of person who brought light into the room, and her sense of humor was a gift that she generously shared, lifting spirits and spreading happiness.” her family said.
