Delara was killed by her husband after seeking a divorce.

She was attacked outside her parents’ home by her husband who struck her repeatedly with a wooden object.

The assault caused severe skull fractures and broken bones in both hands. She fell into a coma and died two days later.

Three months before her murder, Delara had secured her husband’s consent for a mutual divorce, though the final ruling had yet to be issued.

Two months before the fatal attack, he had already attempted to kill her by strangling her until she lost consciousness in their home.
