Catherine was shot at her home. The suspect periodically stayed at the residence.

She died in hospital several days after the shooting.

A man aged 30 was also killed. Police say both victims were shot in the head.

Catherine loved her pets as well as all animals. She enjoyed the outdoors and camping. She loved being with family and friends. She had formerly been active in 4H Club showing horses.
