Delysia was killed in a murder-suicide. She was shot 5 times in the head and chest by her boyfriend.

She died later in hospital from her injuries.

Her family said she had been going through domestic violence. She had decided to leave the relationship and had his stuff packed for him to go then she went grocery shopping. He shot her when she arrived home.

“Delysia was filled with so much life. She was the funniest person in the room. Nothing could stop her from speaking her mind. She was loved by her whole city. The most genuine soul ever.”
